Birch Spoon 5
This shovel bowl spoon, one of my own designs, is seven inch (17.5cm) long. Perfectly suited for soups, stews or cereal.
Add a touch of nature to your daily routine with this spoon. This section of wood has some beautifully regular growth rings running along the length of the spoon. It’s also flecked with darker streaks, a feature often found in birch wood.
Pure flaxseed oil has been used to seal the wood while leaving the subtle colours and patterns of the grain visible.
Made, not manufactured, this spoon was handmade with simple hand tools. The wood came from a birch tree growing too close to a home.
Buying this spoon helps save urban trees from just being burnt or chipped. The tree gets to live on in your home, providing you with a unique utensil you can use everyday.
